Crete’s Culinary Sanctuaries

Interactive Educational Programs in Crete, Greece
focusing on culture, nature, sustainable organic agriculture and traditional cuisine

CCS seminars change with the seasons.  Our all-local network of historians,
sustainable organic farmers, chefs, mountaineers and many others work together to share
their knowledge about Crete's cultural and natural heritage.

"The Mediterranean Diet concept that originated in Crete is not a diet -- it is a way of life.
Preservation of traditional foodways also protects our safe food sources and environment.
Participating in educational travel programs that protect and celebrate
cultural and natural heritage can be a wonderful experience with good company and cuisine.”
Nikki Rose, Founder & Director of Crete's Culinary Sanctuaries

Crete's Culinary Sanctuaries has earned international recognition for best practices in responsible travel
and is featured in National Geographic publications, The New York Times, The Guardian (UK), and TV New Zealand.
